4 Enjoyable Wellness Tips To Incorporate While Traveling

We all LOVE vacation season. Traveling allows us to unplug and unwind and it can be the perfect time to focus on our wellness. 

If you are like me, you work hard at being healthy and fit and you don’t want to sabotage that when you travel. I like to shift my mindset to destressing, slowing down and being in the moment (which is really good for our overall health).

Vacations are a great time to relax, unwind, and de-stress so take advantage! There are plenty of ways you can still be active!

Check out the 4 enjoyable ways to incorporate wellness into your next trip whether you are traveling overseas, camping, or going on a road trip!

  1. Rent a bike or take a hike! Explore nature and burn calories while enjoying the great outdoors! Aim to ride or hike for about an hour to get your body into the fat-burning zone!
  2. Attending a yoga class is a great way to unwind and slow down during a trip. If you don't have access to a class, find a quiet spot to do some stretching for about 20 minutes. Focus on breathing and tuning in to your body. 
  3. Schedule a deep tissue or relaxation massage. Getting knots worked out will help flush out toxins from your system and leave you feeling rejuvenated. 
  4. Turn your hotel room or campground into a gym. Bring a resistance band since they are easy and lightweight to travel with, or just stick to bodyweight exercises. Having access to a virtual gym like Beachbody On Demand makes it simple to stream your workouts anywhere, even if you don't have cellular service. 

Focusing some time on your wellness, while you are away, will enable you to return home feeling restored and ready to get back in the game.
