Let's talk about what is the best time of the day to exercise.
Now there is some benefits to knowing the answer to this question. One of the benefits is you're going to make workouts more efficient. You're also going to benefit from the post exercise endorphins, and you'll probably most likely skip workouts a lot less.
Now when you don't know the answer to this question, there are a few problems that are probably going to arise. One is you're going to not be able to relieve your stress. You'll also probably feel sluggish and tired, and you might even just skip your workout altogether if you end up doing it at the end of the day. Things can even get worse when you skip exercise and put it off till the end of the day because you're going to end up avoiding exercise because you're not going to feel motivated.
You won't actually be able to feel the benefits of exercising because you're going to do it at the end of the day or maybe just skip it altogether. There's so many benefits when you work out first thing in the morning. You might even just feel really agitated with co-workers or other people. You might end up snapping at them or just being in a bad mood altogether. So, my husband actually used to work out a lot at the end of the day. His work schedule changed where he was working 10 hour days, and he would just get really annoyed because he'd have to come home and workout really late and before he knew it he'd be done, it was like 8:00 at night and he just wasn't really feeling any of the benefits from exercise. It was more of a hindrance to him and he started being less and less consistent.
So he finally decided he was going to wake up earlier and he had to wake up pretty early since he's working 10 hour days. But he just said, you know what, I'm going to go for it and see how I feel, because you keep telling me that working out first thing in the morning is the best thing. He's been consistent now for probably over four years by staying on top of his morning exercise. He comes home and he can just relax the rest of the day. It's been great to see him change this habit because he's been very consistent in his exercise in the morning and he has a very physical job and it's been giving him a lot of energy throughout the day.
So there are a few solutions when you know that the best time of the day to exercise is in the morning. So like I mentioned, you're going to workout before the day begins. Obviously, you're going to have less excuses because you're going to workout right when you wake up and you're just going to be able to check that off your list. You actually put your body in fat burning mode so you'll actually be burning more calories throughout your day when you workout in the morning. You're going to have that, more of that energy from those exercise endorphins and you're going to feel more clear headed and productive throughout your entire day.
