Let's talk about how you can manage stress more effectively.
Now there are a few benefits when you understand how to manage your stress; you're gonna be able to identify stress and where it comes from, you're gonna avoid that feeling of burnout, and you're gonna feel a lot more in control of your days.
Now there are some problems that arise when you aren't able to effectively manage your stress. So, one of them, is you just wake up ... You know when you wake up in the morning and you feel frantic? Like the alarm clock goes off and you're just feeling ... Right when the day starts, you're like "Oh my gosh, I gotta do this, I gotta do this, I gotta do that"; that frantic feeling in the morning? That's a big problem, and that sets the tone for your day. You're also going to lack productivity at work and just in your personal life, and it's gonna take a toll on your health. Stress is really unhealthy. And things can get worse when we don't solve this problem. Stress can actually cause disease, weight gain, and unfortunately people are probably gonna want to avoid you.
So I had a big issue with stress in my life just a few years ago, and I wasn't able to manage my stress efficiently, and it really had a toll on my health. I was really overworked, consistently stressed, and I had a lot of excuses because I was so busy; I just said, "You know what? I don't have time for this, I don't have time for that. I don't have time to exercise or to relieve my stress," and I was just going all the time. I didn't really figure out where was the stress coming from and how could I avoid it? I was just going through my day, and my days were completely controlling me.
I ended up getting burnt out and contracted shingles in my early 30s, which is pretty uncommon, and it was all brought on to stress. My doctor told me, "You've got to figure out a way to more effectively and efficiently manage your stress because this is taking a huge toll on your body and you don't want other diseases to come into your life because of stress."
So there are a few solutions when you can manage your stress more efficiently.
One, you're gonna be able to identify those stressors in your life and know where they come from so you can stop it before it happens.
The second is you're gonna learn to avoid stressful situations and just deal with them in a more effective way, because let's face it, we can't avoid stress. It is part of life, but how you deal with it is what is going to help you move through stress and not let it weigh on your shoulders and affect your health.
And another solution is you're gonna start creating a morning routine. Because when you wake up in the morning and you feel less frantic, and you have a few minutes to yourself, it is the best way to manage stress more efficiently, is by starting off your day on a good note; just for a few minutes in the morning spending some time reading a book, planning out your day.
And it really does set the tone for your day, and it really does help you manage stress very well.
